2020 Summer Reading

This summer the library will be available only by appointment. With the inability to run and offer a summer reading program like normal, or have people directly in the library, we have decided that the library will not have official hours of operation, but instead be available through appointment. A cell phone number will be put in our contact information. To check if we have the books you can email threecitiespubliclibrary@gmail.com or check tracpac.ab.ca.

The summer reading program we are offering looks like this:
your children can sign up through the td summer reading program and have the online options they offer at https://www.tdsummerreadingclub.ca/about_the_club, registration opens June 15th.
Also locally kids can track their hours on sheets that will be made printable on our website. We ask that they submit reading logs twice a month, June 30, July 15, July 31, Aug. 15 and 30th. Email to: threecitiespubliclibrary@gmail.com
Kids can either read the book themselves or have the book read to them, all these hours can be logged.

There will be prize buckets - grand prize for most hours read for children 5-8 and a grand prize for most hours read for children 9-12. There will also be an additional prize that will be for drawn for from every child who enters a reading log in each age group.
They can earn additional tickets in this draw by:
1. Having a parent email to let us know they signed up for the online TD summer reading program
2. For each book you check out of the library over the summer (if books are being checkout from our online services, libby, overdrive and hoopla please again, parents send an email with the name of the book and what online service you are accessing)
3. Sending in a creative picture about reading over the summer that we can post on our facebook page!
